The Burlington Association for Community Living

Established in 1955, Community Living Burlington is Burlington's oldest and largest non-profit charitable organization.  For 50 years, they have dedicated themselves to enriching the quality of life, development and community integration of individuals with developmental disabilities


Opportunity for Advancement

Opportunity for Advancement works with women in disadvantaged life situations with the goal of supporting women to achieve greater economic sufficiency, increased personal well-being and enhanced participation in their communities.


Red Door Shelter

Since 1982 homeless families in Toronto have had a temporary home at the Red Door while they got back on their feet and were able to move into their own home once again. Women and children fleeing violence, refugees and other families needing safe, supportive housing in an emergency have found it here.


Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.



JAZZ.FM91 is Canada's only not-for-profit radio station dedicated to jazz and all its communities of interest.

It began life more than 50 years ago as CJRT-FM, Ryerson's university radio station, broadcasting an eclectic mix of educational programming, classics and jazz.
